Eu2+-, Mn2+- and Eu2+−Mn2+-doped CaMgSi2O6 phosphors have been prepared by a high-temperature solid-state reaction. Systematic investigation of the concentration- and temperature-dependent luminescence of Mn2+ showed that Mn2+ ions occupy two distinct sites in CaMgSi2O6. Electron–vibration interaction (EVI) analyses of Mn2+ ions revealed Huang–Rhys factors of 4.73 and 2.82 as well as effective phonon energies of 313 and 383 cm−1 for the two sites. Eu2+−Mn2+ energy transfer is also discussed, and its efficiency is estimated by lifetime and luminescence spectra. The different thermal quenching behaviours of Eu2+ and Mn2+, the distinct emission colours of Eu2+ (blue, band peak at ∼451 nm) and Mn2+ (yellow–red range, band peaks at ∼583 and 693 nm) endow the co-doped samples with potential applications in luminescence thermometry and temperature-/excitation wavelength-responsive dual anti-counterfeiting.  相似文献

Autonomous mechanical mass transportation for cargos on the microscale with no need of continuous external powering is of great scientific and technological interest due to their extensive applications. However, it is still challenging to create a self‐driven system applicable to diverse micromaterial transportation demands. In this work, we developed a novel autonomous conveyer gel driven by frontal polymerization (FP). The chemical wave produced in FP was stable, and self‐propagating with a constant velocity, which can be easily monitored by thermal imaging or fluorescence labeling. We investigated the influence of the initiation temperature, swelling ratio of the gel substrate, and the size of the cargos on the motion of driven behavior. Results showed that the driving velocity can be well controlled by altering the initiation temperatures of FP. The swelling ratio and the size of the cargos had a key impact on the feasibility of self‐driven behavior. In addition, powerful driven capability by FP was demonstrated by successfully transporting cargos in series, and further applied for targeted synthesis of CdS nanocrystals. The methodology developed here provides an effective way to convert chemical energy to mechanical work, and may be useful in energy conversion and utilization, mass transportation and other applications. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In an attempt to create a polymer brush-based platform for the systematic study for anti-biofouling surfaces, the benefits of surface initiated, visible light-mediated radical polymerization are utilized to fabricate well-defined, chemically ambiguously patterned surfaces. A variety of analytical tools are used to illustrate the precise tuning of surface chemistry and thoroughly characterize spatially well-defined, hydrophilic/hydrophobic surfaces composed of poly(ethylene glycol methacrylate) and poly(trifluoroethyl methacrylate) with chemical definition on the micron scale. Advantages of both visible light-mediated photopolymerization and traditional copper-catalyzed atom transfer radical polymerization are combined to achieve both high spatial control and expanded monomer tolerance. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Semiconductor nanocrystals consisting of a quantum dot (QD) core and a quantum well (QW) shell, where the QD and QW are separated by a tunneling barrier, offer a unique opportunity to engineer the photophysical properties of individual nanostructures. Using the thicknesses of the corresponding layers, the excitons of the first and second excited states can be separated spatially, localizing one state to the QD and the other to the QW. Thus the wave function overlap of the two states can be minimized, suppressing non‐radiative thermalization between the two wells, which in turn leads to radiative relaxation from both states. The molecular analogy to such dual emission would be the inhibition of internal conversion, a special case that violates Kasha′s rule. Using nanosecond time‐resolved spectroscopy of QDQW CdSe/ZnS onion‐like nanocrystals, an intermediate regime of exciton separation and suppressed thermalization is identified where the non‐radiative relaxation of the higher‐energy state is slowed, but not completely inhibited. In this intermediate thermalization regime, the temporal evolution of the delayed emission spectra resulting from trapped carriers mimic the dynamics of such states in nanocrystals that consist of only a QD core. In stark contrast, when a higher‐energy metastable state exists in the QW shell due to strongly suppressed interwell thermalization, the spectral dynamics of the long‐lived excitations in the QD and QW, which are spectrally distinct, are amplified and differ from each other as well as from those in the core‐only nanocrystals. This difference in spectral dynamics demonstrates the utility of exploiting well‐defined exciton localization to study the nature and spatial dependence of the intriguing photophysics of colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals, and illustrates the power of nanosecond gated luminescence spectroscopy in illuminating complex relaxation dynamics which are entirely masked in steady‐state or ultrafast spectroscopy.  相似文献

The electric conductivity‐dependence of the number of electrons transferred during the oxygen reduction reaction is presented. Intensive properties, such as the number of electrons transferred, are difficult to be considered conductivity‐dependent. Four different perovskite oxide catalysts of different conductivities were investigated with varying carbon contents. More conductive environments surrounding active sites, achieved by more conductive catalysts (providing internal electric pathways) or higher carbon content (providing external electric pathways), resulted in higher number of electrons transferred toward more complete 4e reduction of oxygen, and also changed the rate‐determining steps from two‐step 2e process to a single‐step 1e process. Experimental evidence of the conductivity dependency was described by a microscopic ohmic polarization model based on effective potential localized nearby the active sites.  相似文献

Geissoschizine methyl ether N-oxide, a new oxindole alkaloid, along with 14 known alkaloids, was isolated from the aerial part of Uncaria rhynchophylla. Their structures were identified by comprehensive spectral methods, including 2D NMR experiments, and confirmed by comparing with the literature data. In vitro acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitory activity assay showed that the new compound exhibited anti-AChE activity with IC50 value of 23.4 μM.  相似文献
